Welcome to G&SMCS!In our Society, we're all passionate about musical theatre. It's the buzz that gets us out to rehearsals during those dark winter months of preparation for our Christmas Panto and Spring Musical. We have two main aims: to give you, our audience, a great evening's entertainment, and for us, to experience the thrill of live performance! We also have the fun and satisfaction of working as a team towards one common goal - a hit show!
'Sleeping Beauty', our 2011 Panto, was a full-house success and has just received the cup for Best Panto in the NODA South West Regional Awards!
Our March 2012 production, '42nd Street' was a huge hit with our audiences and we now await the reviews and competition adjudications. Our focus is now on the Christmas panto which this year is to be Aladdin. We intend to work hard to have it achieve the success of its award-winning predecessor. Workshops and auditions will be held in September; full details for auditionees are at Aladdin.

We are developing a list of stage items, including unusual or difficult-to-obtain props, which we have made or acquired in the past and which other societies might be interested in hiring or buying. We are delighted to announce that our April 2013 production will be Victoria Wood's 'Acorn Antiques - The Musical!', developed from the sketch show 'Acorn Antiques'.
All the characters from that show are there inclung Miss Babs, Miss Berta, Miss Bonnie and Mrs Overall (Julie Walters unforgettable persona). Further details coming shortly.
